They would have struggled to break Kuss today , it wasn't a super hard climb, but I reckon after yesterday JV put a stop to it. Kuss's attack at the end was a little pointed. He and Primoz seem fine, him and Jonas definitely a little distant.

It's interesting as Roglic seems like the one that sounds conflicted in the interviews but it does suggest that Tuesday may have been what's caused issues. Also notable that Kuss said management (not riders) have been supportive in interview today. |

Some good points made by Thomas here: twitter.com Also a Vingegaard interview translated before the stage: twitter.com I wonder whether with Roglic it's the fact he couldn't do the Tour (he seemed to want to after the Giro) and in his head, the consolation was to win two grand tours. |

Have just watched it. There you go. They CAN help him. And it was better, and nice to see they did. He does deserve this win, and they should help him out, if he needs it. And another great showing by RE. Really can't understand what the hell happened on his "off day". He looks stronger all the time. But then he is being allowed to ride at his own pace, and he's not being bothered by attacks. There is no doubt that he is very, very good when he's controlling things. Maybe not quite so good when he isn't. But a good day in the saddle for him again. |

I felt like Kuss intimated in his post race interview that he trio of them agreed a game plan for both yesterday and today, with a different tactic today. My guess would be they agreed yesterday that at some point in the stage if they were in a position to do something it was every man for himself, and today they agreed it was a straight protect the jersey ride. Plausible? |

It's hard to parse as some of the comments are clear but the summary of the different quotes from Kuss in this article suggest at the rest day they were allowed to ride for themselves or at best it was woolly and that changed after the meeting last night. cyclingnews.com |

Good article by Pippa York. I’m just back from ‘an audience with Bradley Wiggins’ in Ilkley. I was expecting to hear his take on the TJV situation but he didn’t really talk about current racing. In fact it wasn’t really what I was expecting and I have a new respect for him (having thought him a bit of a knob recently). I will try to blog tomorrow. In November I’m going to an evening with Carlton Kirby, but just expecting random waffling |

That's brave! (Though I suspect that Kirby is probably actually a lovely human being and could have a bucket full of amusing tales to tell. My guess is he's massively self aware of how he comes across as a commentator, and that's why good respectable former pros like Kelly et ap put up with his drivel!)
