I'm surprised that none of the serious running blogs have picked up a pair and tried them. I think I'll go down to Aldi later and examine them and if they are lightweight enough I might be tempted.

They look a bit like the old style New balance mt330s which weren't that minimal (see picture at this blog corredorminimalista.com ), and the worry is the grips underneath don't look great (and on the mt330s rubbed off within a couple of hundred miles making them lethal in wet weather and I binned them after a fall).

I don't spend much time looking at my feet while I'm running, it's more like how they feel to me.

RF's vibes were most useful, thank-you RF :-)

They are comfy enough but feel a bit heel high - like they are propped up with more support and runner at front and back. Not ran in them yet mind.

They are heavy for 'naturals' but that makes them good for training (as opp to racing) imo. The grips are shite tho.

Cheers BelleVue - yeah I took a look and passed on them because of the grips, as I have a lot of offroad, grassy or muddy sections or shortcuts on my road routes and I figured slipping and getting injured for the sake of saving money was self-defeating, but it was the grips that were the main deal-breaker. I had some NB MT320s a while back and the grips on those got completely worn down after 200 odd miles and it became like running on ice in them every time it rained, and after slipping once badly I binned those.

Ok POSE coaches - I'm currently a coaching assistant, looking to take coaching in running fitness qualification in February. I'm looking to introduce some awareness of form/technique in to otherwise "bread and butter" interval sessions (at a later point it will be possible to model the sessions myself), focusing on one area such as cadence, for example. (this is very much in line with UKAA teaching, take one point, isolate it, work on it, progress via guided discovery). Have you any ideas for small exercises/routines during an interval that might be good? Or just some links you would recommend/endorse?

So for example, we had a flying coach visit and take a hill rep session, he got us in one rep to run with shoulders scrunched up, another to run as though we had crisps between our fingers, some focusing on arms. Can you think of any equivalents for POSE/just good technique? So I was thinking one rep, get people to measure their own cadence, then get them to try and increase and think how about how they can increase it (i.e. shorter stride etc)... does this sound way off the rails or vaguely sensible?

Interesting thread, but no way I'm gonna read 1801 pages...

I searched for Pose wondering if anyone regularly used it and whether it worked. I've been running in Vivobarefoot shoes for the last year, saw some info on the web about Pose and that the method recommends minimal shoes - seemed like a good match. After further research, I found "PoseTV" on YouTube and the videos make a lot of sense to me.

So, has anyone using the drills? Anyone followed the 12-week YouTube program? Anyone got an opinion (works for me / doesn't work because ...)?

If you want to get people to watch you running - you need to video yourself using your mobile phone or digital camera. Side on, full length for a few strides, is sufficient. Use a cloud storage system as discussed here

And share the file with a coach or coaches for constructive comment, either in private or on the thread if you dare.
