Sorry CT yes, I do that one too but since my aha moment it seems suddenly easier. :-) I will do some more drills tonight and maybe even a likkle run if shin behaves...

One thing that always does my head in with COS . When you *all* say pull foot up first, then let the other one down. I always do - to the point where I am actually trying to hold the other one up. But everyone has always said that I put one leg down first... How do I change this when I am positive that I am doing what is being asked of me? I pull the foot first then let the other drop, I don't know what else to say? I have vids and the feet pass each other on their respective ways...

haddi - the Pose Triathlon Book is very readable - and there are excellent video clips of the drills being performed on the Posetech site.

Ideally - a 1-to-1 session with a coach will clear up a huge number of questions in a very short time. Learning from text, and books is very difficult, especially if you are not clear what something is trying to achieve

As I said before in the efficient running thread, everything flows in and out of eachother. Balls up one and you mess up the chain. It also means that unlike 'traditional', unnatural, inefficient running (well, traditional western mentality in full really) it is not a case of 'do this, then do this, then do this'. After you've set off the initial fall, all you ultimately do is one thing, pull. Everything else is powered by the subconscious and external forces. In respect to this, it may sound daunting that one thing goes out it all does, but it will only do that if you try to control what you shouldn't be, it really is as simple as it sounds.

P.E. - are you Bramhalling tomorrow ? Would you mind if I watched your warm up ? I think I need to see this in motion to see if I'm heading in the right direction.

About This Thread

If you want to get people to watch you running - you need to video yourself using your mobile phone or digital camera. Side on, full length for a few strides, is sufficient. Use a cloud storage system as discussed here

And share the file with a coach or coaches for constructive comment, either in private or on the thread if you dare.
