I suspect it was a slip of the tongue and she meant Greece. She's not that stupid, just malign. I agree with JB, though - a big part of Trump's appeal to his voters is that he comes across as dumb like them.

Yes, while home secretary, she visited the Greek border with Turkey, where they have built a border fence along the Evros river. There was some claimed tie-in with people smuggling gangs operating in the UK.

Tacit acceptance that they’re only expecting 1 term? I’d imagine the tanking ratings will mean more difficult/transformative changes will follow onto the backburner. They’ll now be tweaking around, seeking focus grouped popularity to get better ratings rather than affecting ‘change’. As far as I can see only Milliband has got close to living up to his rhetoric. |
