They will G but why has the west and Ukraine not developed a plan B? Transporting grain via rail through Moldova etc down to the Med ?

Good question rich. I think early on they said it was a tiny proportion that could go by rail vs ship. But yes, investing in alternative routes to support Ukraine and world grain supplies would seem sensible. :-) G

As for Ukraine - they have severely curtailed trade unions as part of their bid for fast track EU membership (see earlier examples of this - eg the Romanians had to get rid of collective bargaining)

Not on the side of the workers.

Germany has one of the strongest Union cultures in the world and I don't see it being kicked out of EU.

Widely reported this morning that the met are going to use anti terror tactics to combat domestic violence sexual violence.

It'll save a fortune merging investigations and counter terrorism units.

The London 2012 Opening Ceremony was 11 years ago today, brought to us by a Labour Government.

It was a great time in this country and it’s very sad to see how far we’ve fallen since, but hey, that Keir Starmer, he’s a bit boring, if putting the Tories in again keeps him out of Number 10 it’s a price worth paying.

Use your loaf. Different rules for joining in 1950s compared to 2000s, eg adoption of neoliberalism and economic integration by EU as opposed to it being industrial (coal and steel based) cooperation.
