I know very little of De Santis. I do know that I’ve made a habit of thinking “anyone would be better than him/her as president/prime minister” over the last few years and being proved spectacularly wrong. What should I read to lift the veil on why de Santis is worse? |

Here's one of many profiles: theguardian.com Basically Trump had some occasional liberal impulses (usually because they helped boost his popularity) and didn't follow through on some of his schemes, DeSantis has no such impulses and manages to bludgeon through his schemes and claims God is on is side. I think you need to also take into account that Trump's "team" frequently reined in or frustrated some of his more lunatic "decisions". If he gets in again he will be worse. A lot worse.

Who knows how the next 2 years will pan out. The only certain thing is that it will be another 2 years of one man's rampant ego destroying a country politically, constitutionally and reputationally.
