I suspect it may be more to do with the government not wishing to have scenes on global media of riot police kettling dickheads - besmirching the image of England as country of fair play and gentlemanly conduct. Bad for business, y'know.

Feel a bit ill if that's correct JB. But it really does not help the Met to demonstrably be seen kicking the shit out of soft targets and bottling it when they are likely to get resistance. Dick by name.... |

I don't think people like Dick get where they are without playing politics to one degree or another. She'll be looking for her place in the Lords.

Footballers doing more to oppose than the opposition at this moment. Tyrone Mings (to Priti Patel): "You don’t get to stoke the fire at the beginning of the tournament by labelling our anti-racism message as ‘Gesture Politics’ & then pretend to be disgusted when the very thing we’re campaigning against, happens." Too bloody right. |

Very hard to lead by example when the leader is such an shameless and amoral dirtbag with a long track record of airing his prejudices in national publications. All these things are having a drip drip effect. If Covid cases go through the roof as predicted we may yet see the back of him - and in short order - and we will at least be shot of the most corrupt and incompetent PM of the last 100 years.

JB, yes, yes. But he is a funny fellow and has quirky hair, so it's not so straightforward.

He's only funny if you can't see through the facade to the total shitebag underneath. That's what annoys me more about his "supporters" because there has been more than ample evidence over the years that he is in fact a really horrible person. And yet they still ignore this and vote for him and his ilk. Bizarre to my way of thinking. |

It's entrenched behaviour, bordering on radicalisation. And that this government never apologies, never sacks and never admits to doing anything wrong enables their supporters 'thinking' along these patterns. The old phrase every organisation reflects it's leader. Think of the current PM and his inability to answer a question or give any straight talk then scroll back through these pages and look at many of the discussions with his supporters, see the similarities? A large part of this nation have become the stepford wives. ION poor sad Tory MPs in the North seem to think it wasn't all a lie to win an election. bbc.co.uk |

Wait for it, wait for it... No matter how corrupt and divisive the Tories are somebody will come along and say the hypothetical 'at least not as bad a Labour'. |
