So with Symonds around, BJ might become more human. The far right squad must be worried that the UK may actually create a meaningful deal with the EU?

Since when does the PM’s girlfriend/spouse/etc get to choose who gets what job?
The irony of the Brexiters moaning about “unelected” EU bureaucrats and then Cummings /Carrie / etc running the show is staggering...

JK *chameleon*
From reading Leave.EU supporters comments on Facebook, British unelected bureaucrats are ok because they aren't suspicious foreigners. Unless they hold a view contrary to Leave.EU, in which case they too are awful Marxists who are traitors to their country.
I think I need a better way of reading outside of my echo chamber...

My guess is it's a bit too late for Cummings' departure to make any meaningful difference to the deal, which will be thin indeed if we get one at all. Won't stop Old Bozza from saying it is the greatest deal in human history. And of course it will still need to get through Parliament and the European Parliament, and with very minimal scrutiny (stop me if you have heard that one before), which no doubt means Iain Duncan Donuts and his crew will wave it through before reading the small print in about 9 months and concluding it was shit.
We will still have chaos in Jan whatever happens - unless Old Bozza u-turns on an extension, which I can't see happening. Looking forward to the sight of thousands of lorries stuck in lorry parks ankle deep in water while the third wave hits and Trump hangs on in the White House like an unflushable turd.
Still TBC - handbags in the North Sea between the Royal Navy and EU fishing boats; empty shelves at the supermarkets etc etc.
The Brexit crew are all still in denial about what a fuck up they have made of the country.

I think the fishing problems will occur when our fisherman try to fish in other waters....a bit like our farmers, whonwant their cake and to eat it.
I see a deal, very soon. Boris will just go on about sunny uplands in the future and win in 4 years time.
The PM's 'girlfriend' is a bit of a conservative party insider, very much against The Dom.

Echoing Pothunter there. Why in God's name should Boris Johnson's fiancee have ANY say at all in how the Government is run? We have reached a bizarre place when people just shrug their shoulders about something like this, think it's normal. The influence of Dominic Cummings was baleful and his legacy disastrous, but at least you could argue he was appointed to a political role.

The PM's gf has more empathy than short-sighted Cummings
