lol HG, you have just described the SNP and the Scottish Independence movement who hate the English, tories, Westminster !
Although I accept you can argue those Scots that value the Union have now developed a hatred of the SNP/Independence movement.

What about the poor kids in parts of London who daren’t venture outside their own postcode for fear of being stabbed as “the other”? Young people who daren’t “marry out” of their religion or even extended family for fear of being murdered for reasons of honour? It’s not all about race but power, people are tribal and we have a long way to go.

Agree with NR - and we *all* have our tribes. Every single one of us.

My tribe is the 'people who don't want to be in a tribe' tribe.

I realise there's a tendency towards tribalism, but I really do try to think of it as a weakness that can be suppressed more than an inevitable part of the human condition.
Of course it could just be that I'm basically misanthropic.

Denying you're in a tribe is silly. Especially when you post on fetch - which is a tribe in itself.
There's nothing inherently wrong with being part of a tribe - it's when that loyalty to the tribe overrides good judgement and values.
