Also are we really saying that a lie about whether you watched the queen’s speech is equivalent to being dismissed from 3 jobs for being caught lying to your boss each time and hanging on to a 4th job after lying to your boss only because Lizzie Windsor wouldn’t want to cause a constitutional crisis?🤷🏼♂️

Incidentally, Laura Kuenssberg only today drew equivalence between Johnson "obfuscating" (aka lying) about the Irish border issues and Corbyn obfuscating about watching the Queen's speech. As if the two are in any way comparable. But that's today's BBC for you.

And she also tweeted a completely made-up bullshit story about some labour activist punching Matt Hancock, which simply had never taken place and was a complete fabrication from her "senior tory sources". Police even had their time wasted looking into it and discovering that the events and arrest described hadn't taken place.
I'm afraid they aren't going to find they have many friends left when the tories come for their licence fee....

Trouble with that is that the bbc doesn’t need abolishing. It needs returning to it’s real remit if independent news, rather than the government mouthpiece it’s become.
If the bbc goes the only news organisations we have are sky, fox, cnn etc who all rely on sponsors, advertisers and financial backing from owners.

I wasn't comparing the scale of lying between Johnson and Corbyn. But just observing that Saint JC isn't immune from instinctively lying.

I got told on FB last night by an otherwise very reasonable individual that my assertion that the media has a pro-Tory, anti-Labour bias was laughable as the opposite is clearly true.
Hmm.

Nellers - I understand that Channel 4 do a pretty good line in investigative journalism.
I'm with you Larkim. I can't understand why he wouldn't tell the truth about it. No one, who hasn't already made up their mind, would seriously care anyway. Although the appropriate response would probably be "Fuck off and come back when you have a serious and relevant question".
It probably comes back to the kitten drowning thing. Johnson can do no wrong. Even this latest thing with the phone and the pictures of the 4 year old will just wash over him. Corbyn has only got to fart on the Underground to have him portrayed as a dangerous vegetarian subversive who's a threat to the fabric of society.
People's ability to take a balanced view has completely gone out of the window.
Which in a way brings us back to stupidity I'm afraid...
