Thanks Derby Tup - Derwent Edge today (11 mile loop from Fairholmes) and thanks to Flying Finn (Maazi - even if takeaway. Probably will be heated up takeaway tomorrow. Loads of food). Both good calls!

More thanks to Flying Finn for the White Edge circuit suggestion (other than a bit of confusion finding the right place to park). Lots of deer (60 -80 ??), some young, but all the ones on the moor far away - really maxing out my lens to get anything. That is, until we stopped at the Fox for a pint and found the perfect candidate a few yards away. Just in time
Just caught - flying below us up the valley
Deer on the moor - 1/2 to 1 mile away
Opposite the pub
Thanks all for all the suggestions ...and hoping you get the rain the area needs

Bumpety bump Looking for family friendly excursions in the Peaks this summer. Other than hiking n biking. Not because we're not interested, more because we have half an idea about those. What would you do on a biblically wet day? Or one of those *I just want to mooch about* days?
