I spend about half my time in Scotland and half in England. I reckon I see more topless blokes at parkrun in Scotland. And people keep shouting "taps aff!" when they go by.

I took my running shirt off after about 2.5 km on the last two Saturdays. I was wearing a running bra to do my (not) parkrun in Lanzarote. I imagine if I had been at home I would have been wearing a jacket and possibly hat and gloves

I have taken my shirt off precisely twice on runs. Both times because I was getting a bit of chafing on the nips and also overheating. I reserve it for very quiet routes - it's like a hairy lava lamp

My only top-removal runs have been when testing / proving to myself that static from my t-shirt was getting in the way of chest strap heart rate data. And I did it discretely, on a night run on very quiet roads!!

The only parkrun I did topless was Brisbane where temperatures were mid 20s by 8am (parkrun start time) and folks were already melting before we'd even started.

It’s not very inclusive is it ? And in practical terms the difference between running in a vest and bare chested would be next to nothing.

I think I have only seen one topless runner ever. And that was a work colleague on a lunchtime run.

When it’s warmer I run with just a crop top on - tbh I can’t get too concerned about people running topless.
