Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

I managed to do some Parkrun tourism for the first time in twelve months today. Recent attempts failed.
So a morning out at Kesgrave today and am planning Lowestoft next week 🤞

Fizz :-)
Next week is Corby's 200th event, they're trying to break their attendance record. #200for200.

There will be cake, lots of cake.

And whilst there is coffee at the pavilion, Fetchies are welcome to come back to ours after :-)

Bob!
I got my volunteer email through earlier:

Thank you very much for your support at Maldon Prom parkrun, event 210 on 2017-08-05. You've now volunteered at this event on 100 separate occasions.

:-)

I was at abingdon touring today and saw a car hit a parkrun cyclist. Cyclist fine. Car fine. But a couple of 70/80 year olds in the car gave unacceptable abuse to the poor lady who clearly made a mistake in pulling out of the car park. I know it's a shock but wtf with all the yelling. Idiots then wanted to pull over and check the car. Things is - given the way insurance works if I had been the driver (apart from being more concerned for the woman than the effing car) I would have checked she was okay and gone off. Insurance companies could treat it as 50/50 and cyclist could milk it (I am sure she won't -she was horrified).

Congrats Bob!

@Fizz - tempted to make the journey to Corby, but it's a 180-mile round trip - thought I was closer to Corby than that :-(
