Enjoyed catching up with people at Exmouth today. Not a bad run, as ever it was windy today but the wind was coming straight off the sea rather than the usual south westerly which is in your face on the way back. Tried the barcode on my watch today and it worked which is good to know if I ever forget my plastic barcode.

50th different Parkrun venue today at Meadowmill. I’d like to thank Premier Inn for their bargain prices😀
49 in Scotland, Whinlatter being the outlier.

Speaking of Derry, I will be in Belfast next month and am looking for recommendations. Minded to do Ormeau as it's close to the centre and I "need" an O, but open to other suggestions that are easy to get to by public transport we wont have a car. Also ideally ok with road shoes for reasons for suitcase space.
(also need a Q, so Queens could be a good one too)

A month ago there was one parkrun in the county of Angus. Really pleased for the team at Forfar Loch as they’ve had such a long journey. I was at West Links but I’m advised the inaugural in Forfar went really well. Massive kudos to the team at Montrose as well, because since the return of parkrun in August they’ve been supporting core teams from two prospective new events at once. Couldn’t have learned from better folk.

Hellywobs, I have done Ormeau. I was staying in the city centre and walked to the park. Its a lovely park, I thoroughly recommend it (though I haven't done any other Belfast ones to compare...)

And I wore normal running shoes. From memory there were a few bits that would be a bit muddy after rain, but I went in August.

My regular parkrun volunteering today at Alexandra parkrun, Moss Side. It went well despite being a bit short on volunteers, the rain wasn't too bad
I'm RDing for the first time in three weeks 😬 quite anxious about it, I want to make sure I know what I'm doing. Thankfully, our core team are really supportive, I'm shadowing the RD on 26th February, he'll show me the results processing again. It's that bit I'm worried about, I feel reasonably confident about all the stuff in the field, it's just the rectifying the results errors I'm worried about, worried I'll get it all muddled up. I've looked at the parkrun wiki, there's some helpful stuff in there, and I'll have an experienced RD with me on the day. I read on the wiki that it's better to start on the slower end of the results for rectifying errors and work your way up.
At our parkrun the RD does the volunteer roster for that week so I'll try and make sure I put someone experienced on timekeeper and number checker
