57.5 Degrees of Pain
On the disease prevention topic. At a recent gathering of my old friends (age 55-65) my GP (with an interest in dermatology) wife instructed two of the guys to get skin issues checked properly. One of them has already been referred to the dermatology clinic by his GP.
I'm just completing a course of topical cream to kill off pre-cancerous skin cells on my nose. A few days looking like Rudolph was well worth it!

Statistically, having actinic keratoses or even basal cell carcinomas apparently increases your life expectancy, possibly because they're a surrogate marker for outdoor exercise or adequate vitamin D levels. But yes, get suspicious skin things looked at. The dermatologist who told me that the things on my forehead were just sebaceous hyperplasia and not early BCCs didn't make me feel stupid and she offered to check my back while I was there

Velociraptor
And she froze a small actinic keratosis on my forearm more gently than I'd have done it myself.
