Plus Mr Boulter the rent collector who worked for the council, and who filled in the rent book each week. Both men wore trilby hats, I remember. Presumably because they were white-collar workers and thus a cut above the flat cap wearers like my Dad. Though in his 50's Dad did rise to trilby class
