Sigh
I love the name of this sub-service, somewhat ironic:

This isn't helping Alice find an answer.

Quick question - I had bowel screening and mammogram results back through the post in April, both clear. I looked on my medical record for something else yesterday but noticed that it’s been recorded as “not done” or words to that effect. Do I need to get that altered or does it not really matter if the notes are wrong in this case?

Personally, if I found an anomaly like that I'd contact my surgery and ask them to correct it.

We have no such things here and to answer the question: it sometimes takes months for pt info to come through as not all NHS services are connected via computers...

That’s true, I saw one of those tv doctors complaining about this, they still have to wait for letters to arrive in the post after a patient has been seen at hospital. Then of course someone at the surgery will then have to copy it onto their IT system.

It’s interesting to learn the different ways that GP practices seem to communicate with hospitals.
My consultant at OUHT emails my letters to my GP and I receive copies by post.
I see my hospital test results via Patients Know Best and my other tests via my NHS App.

I have to literally threaten to use a lawyer to get to see my files!!! It is a PITA as it is seriously counter productive to my cancer journey.

Thanks folks. I didn’t want to pester them but was surprised as I’d received letters through the post promptly and assumed they would too. It’s been over 3 months now…

I also didn’t realise that some health authorities don’t give access to patient records. I access them via something called System Online which I assumed was a national initiative.
