I love prunes- always have a pouch from Lidl (other brands available) in the cupboard. The grandkids love them too

I tried to be sneaky about setting paper alight in the gas fire, but in a non-smoking household you couldn't hide the smell. I probably wasn't very careful about cleaning up the flecks of ash either.

My prune habit has stayed with me, always have a couple on top when I have cereal for breakfast

Prunes are OK, but only in moderation due to my dodgy digestive system.
French Armagnac-soaked prunes in far breton, Britanny's version of custard tart, are delish.
