Sorry to hear that David - that should encourage us all to get checks done

DT - hope the rash gets sorted.

In racing news I ran a reasonable 5 miler last night, just under 79% WAVA on a rote that has a couple of hills. Just as I was leaving they started to announce the prizes so I hung about just in case, but didn't win anything.

The results tell me I was 8th over 50 and the first was almost 3 mins ahead aged 63 !!

DT Hope you get sorted and the rash goes quickly.

Back from the Dr's here with result of bone density scan - not what I wanted to hear, have osteoporosis in my spine, and still have the option for steroid injection in knee if and when needed, hands are just so painful but that will have to be coped with. The ache like mad after a 17 mile bike ride last night....

That looks uncomfortable, DT :-O I hope it settles quickly.

MM, at least you know and can take proactive measures to protect your bones, which mostly involves doing health-promoting behaviours that we might all do well to maintain.

Baz, it's alarming, but also pleasing, how many fast over-50s (and over-60s) there are.

V'rap - exactly. Just find all so confusing with the differing advice though on certain forms of exercise.

Have been given drugs to take etc and another bone scan in a few years to see whats happening (as long as things don't deteriorate)

Not been in sun (have to be careful because my chemotherapy sensitises skin to sunlight)

Back home now. Drugs brought down inflammation well. Have more to take

I hope it's not an allergy to Scotland :-o Although there was precious little sun to avoid.

All being well it’ll clear and there’s a good chance we’ll never know what it was. I love Scotland and have been many times 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
