Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

What’s your budget? I went entry level Orca and it’s done 3 seasons. Still going fine. £100 I think.

I was thinking around £150. That's really helpful, thank you.

I love Alpkit. They do thermal winter, summer and less floaty ones. I've a less floaty one. Not that it fits currently.

I gave up waiting for the Alpkit thin one to come back into stock - they were saying hopefully November last time I checked.

I ordered 4 different ones, tried them on at home and sent 3 back but obviously you need a bit of spare cash to order 4 wetsuits! Huub were too high in the neck for me. I liked zone 3 but it was not as comfy as the Orca.

Thank you all. LittleD has Alpkit but they all seem to be out of stock at the moment.

Zip repair was fine today. Fab swim but short because we were late. Thirteen deg apparently. Had ice cream head for first side of rectangle. Two hats. Gloves next week I think.

A bit under 14 for us, full head to toe coverage was comfortable enough for our usual 2 laps (about half an hour or so). Others in skins but I’m not going there!

I am yet to purchase a wet suit. Instead I am in a log sleeve rash vest, swimsuit and run shorts. Plus socks and gloves

Anyone else?

The Jury is out for me on a wetsuit as I am going to try and swim through in skins

The swims will be shorter that’s something I thought about last weekend as our river swim was probably around 36mins. I felt ok, water was around 11.

Famous last words though!

There didn't seem to be a thread devoted to open water swimming, so I thought I'd start one.
