I must assume they didn't realise we have the best health service bar none, that millions of people gave up life and limb in 2 world wars, that this country's wealth is built on the work of millions of people going back 2 centuries, that we have a fantastic literary canon and have always had a marvellous tradition in pop music. We also have quite a full sporting history. How very odd.
