Some of the aurora photos on our village Facebook page are spectacular (Leicestershire). We were given advanced warning and advice by an astronomer who lives in the village. Unfortunately with a 10 week old puppy I'm too knackered to stay up and watch 🤣

Went to a local park to photograph it last night. Stepped out of the door and could see two broad grey bands in the sky. And that was aurora, too faint to see the colour naked eye, all pink and green with the camera. Weird ticking off something on my bucket list straight outside the front door.

I had no idea it was happening last night! Maybe I’ll see something tonight.

Mr jaks has just found a wallet whilst he was out with the dog. It’s still got all the cards and a big stash of money in it. It’s someone local so he’s just gone to drop it off.

Next door’s falling-down fence is finally being replaced which means I’ll be able to start really working on our garden.
