OH had to replace our ensuite pull- cord last week, because the spring or whatever it was stopped reliably springing back up. As there's no window in the ensuite and the light switch also controls the fan we couldn't wait for it yo break completely. The new cord is much shorter than the old one and my hand still automatically reaches too low.
