That is a special newt. Living in the far North I'm not sure such services are available.
I have decided that my newt of the day is going to be to try really hard not to whinge and complain about my filing. I have just posted on mundane thread but no more whining today.

I had fragrant spiced chicken soup to start followed by a chicken curry with cumin rice (it had a posher name than that) and tiramisu, OH had popcorn shrimp with a chilli dippy thing followed by duck and kumquat (yes really) with some other stuff and spinach and then a banana/butterscotch/pecan tarte tatin. The menu had a whole mix of British classics like shepherds pie and cod and chips, to French stuff (like the duck), through to Asian dishes. It was lovely and even though it's a bit posh it wasn't the kind of place that makes you feel uncomfortable (or is that just me?)

Very envious of that newt mulbs. Makes me think we should have a newt of the thread (perhaps we should do a poll among the top five or six) - if so that would definitely be on the list.
Any other takers for such a poll?
I've been a bit newtless - mine are all a bit samey at the moment as in 'I went to a different sandwich shop for my lunch' or 'I walked the dog somewhere I haven't been to before/for ages' or 'I drank a beer I haven't had before in the pub' which are all becoming a bit of a fall back for me so I've decided not to post as a newt if that's all I can come up with.

I know what you mean about some newts not feeling like worthy newts Baroness - my fallback newts are listening to something newt-to-me or clooking something newt-to-me or taking a newt route to/from somewhere. I think it's still good to do those newt things though but I don't post them because they sound a bit meh!
Some of the newts that people have posted have been really inspiring/brave newts though, my Ivy newt was a wonderful evening but it didn't take courage or effort to be pampered!

I agree with both of you to some extent.
I'm a great believer in the restorative and life enhancing power of Special - and mulbs' Ivy visit certainly falls within that category but for me the very best Newts are those that involve minimum expense but maximum leaps into the unknown, or out of comfort zone.
Or maximum application, I suppose: committing to learning a new skill or something like that.
