I know central London pretty well by bike and foot so no big deal I suppose. But I always walk the same way, almost on auto pilot, so I turned left much earlier hoping to get down to the embankment. I obviously planned my original route with care... the new way took longer, was further and not particularly inspiring. I did find myself on Turpentine Lane, but it was a very dull road.
