Excellent choice B.
My first newt of the day was to explore some different paths on today's Jess walk. The Coastal Path Walk itself is not new... but there were variations and i was quite pleased to get back on the known route. It was very slippery and muddy. 4.66 miles of hard work walking.
V-rap, in all seriousness I think staying away from playing on your phone in the middle of the night is a good idea. It's such an easy habit to get INTO and I can't see any benefits.

Main newt of the day was to cook Picadillo, a new to me main course ready meal dish. Cuban and a bit of a Chili Con Carne (or even without carne) alternative. My version did involve carne and an almost new to me way of cooking the mince first. It HAS made a difference to the taste and texture so is something I will continue with.
Verdict is 'good - and probably even better by tomorrow' which is when I will eat the first of the six portions.

I agree, I've been aware of the 'phone thing for a while, it's a Bad Habit which I've tried to break a couple of times before without success. It's like quitting other bad but addictive behaviours, the time has to be right. I'm hoping it'll fall into place this time.
I managed a proper newt after all. I got out for a walk at lunchtime, which is highly unusual, and I walked along a road I've never been along before, which I wouldn't have thought possible after working in this town for all these years.

Today I visited a museum I hadn't been to before, Museum of London Docklands. Can't claim anything else yet this year. Bought two brands of sock yarn that I haven't used before.

A bit late to this thread but today I will be trying a new G&T - Martin Miller gin with Elderflower tonic. I also have weird new chocolates from M&S, Sea Buckthorn and Japanese Green Tea anyone? Very much anti-Lent

K met me at the station after work (not unusual) but instead of going home we walked to a pub and had a beer and I had a veggie burger and fries (he had fish and chips with his Mum for lunch, though he did "help me out" with my food). It was a rather pleasant newt for a Friday evening.
