Alice the Camel
I went exploring in the next village today and spotted this card in a little craft shop. It's a print of a painting by a local artist. I bought it so Charlie can write an apology note to our neighbour. A super little shop, I'll definitely visit again!

Winded
We are having a new kitchen put in and knocking down some walls and making some windows bigger and changing the parking space/driveway so it works better. We are not builders so it isn't really us doing it but it still seems like a new thing. Concrete is coming tomorrow to turn a hole in the front lawn into a sot of turning space.
Oh - I'm running two half marathons but I did one in the autumn so it isn't new - anyway that may not count in Fetchland due to being ordinary.

Today I had some train issues that I hope will be the first and only time I have to get off, cross the footbridge, wait in the cold, then cross back and get back on the train I just got off.
I also had a soya latte instead of my usual skinny latte - it's a bit sweet isn't it?

These are all newts. Unfortunately newts are occasionally Bad Newts (Le Triton Mechant).
I have purchased the missing ingredients for my Cuban Dinner and 'might' have time to cook it before track, if I just finish this book about Spanish Nurses in time. '¡Adiós, enfermeros!' that's what it says.
On the way to Morrisons I stopped for a quick word with a man and a bull terrier. I do love bull terriers, though I wouldn't want one. Pig dogs I call them. This one was very sweet. I have never spoken to a man with a bull terrier before.
I then saw Beanie because I was hurrying down her road. Seeing Beanie is nothing new, but I've never met her in the street before unless she was running and I was on my way to track.

I have lots of newts today! First I bought some new clothes, which were badly needed as all my d clothes are very old and some had holes in.
Then I bought 2 new phones, one for me and one for ds1. My old phone broke in December and Vodafone have refused to talk to me in any capacity because it's in Mr fleecy's name. And Mr fleecy refused to talk to Vodafone for me. So fuck them both, O2 got 2 new contracts out of Vodafone being crap. Sorry, that turned into a rant instead of a newt, but my new phone is an iPhone 6. And the p works

Today's proper newt. I realised, as I ran walked, mainly walked, to Morrison's that I have never read a single poem by Seamus Heaney.
So I sought one out that seemed apt for spring - The Death of a Naturalist.
I will read more and think more before making a judgement, but he might be just too lyrical for my tastes and I'm a bit off bitter sweet lyricism at the moment.

I think I mostly can't be doing with poetry, but I like Seamus Heaney
