I don't think so fleecey, the leaves are like tulip leaves and the petals are a bit thicker than daffs. I've been searching tinternet but not found it yet.

I have had a busy day but I'm not sure there have been any newts.
I spoke to a lady who was coming up a path I had never noticed before- now I know where that path goes and can make it a newt another day.

are they quite small like scilla? or more like a grass lily? pretty flowers, very familiar - but I can't put a name to them.
