Alice the Camel
I survived the long drive home in the dark last night :-) It was quite manageable in the end, despite the last half hour being on windy country lanes with no lighting. The good thing was that there was very little in the way of other traffic and no tractors! I'm so pleased I didn't let it put me off going.

The Red Shoes was magical - so much I could spout on about. The chap I was sat next to didn't agree - "What the f*** was that all about?" he asked his wife at the interval, to which she replied "Mind your language, Rob! Sometimes it's like being out with a 14 year old, not a 53 year old!" Oh happy times :-) Made me smirk.

Today's mundane newt is seed planting, specifically sunflowers for bigleggy's challenge thread.

SO happy you enjoyed it Alice. Magical is right ... me and Raffo agreed we couls watch it through a second time almost instantly, it was so rich with ideas and content and general gorgeousness.

And dancing of course! What a role for the girl who plays Vicky Page! I believe tour de force is the correct expression!

Thanks BBL I will sleep better tonight now that I know the source of your name. My brain does all manner of strange things when I am sleeping/half asleep.

Laughing at Rob the 14/53 year old. She should have left him at home :)

I still don't have a newt and need to consciously choose one today I think.

I heard a young woman complaining that someone (maybe her Dad) acts like a 5 year old instead of a 50 year old. She and her friend seemed out raged I thought "quite right too" :-)

[almost had a newt for booking a hotel for the night before the Liverpool RnR marathon instead of sleeping on a futon/sofa in a family/friend's house but can't find anywhere that's not humungously expensive for the night *sigh*]

Small newt, but definitely a newt. We have a monthly seminar series. It takes place in a room where the tables are set out in a U shape. I *always* sit on the same side. Today, I sat on the other side. It felt weird.

Indeed. Tonight we are having raclette. Not newt but we haven't had it for well over a year as OH doesn't consider it proper food. He's away :)

I had to Google raclette, so there's a new thing I've learned!
Sitting in a different place is very rad, Linds. :-)

I ranwalked the OTHER way round the park.

The big table in the bay window where I sit to do everything is now At An Angle. Unheard off. It has also been swept clear of the trillion and one things it was labouring under and currently features a lamp, my laptop, and a tin of Sainsbury's furniture polish. All the stuff is now on the floor or the sofas, this is not exactly new, just a re-distribution.
