Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That sounds wonderful BBL
LN- I know exactly what you mean. Jeans shopping is right up there with swimsuit shopping in the list of worst shopping experiences ever.

Loving your new thread Sharkie!

My newt is location related. The new car needed a check, which meant a visit to a new garage in a newt place. I had a lovely late breakfast at a cafe and then a walk down the canal to the "highest, deepest, longest" canal tunnel in the U.K. It comes under the category "it's on the doorstep so we never visit". So I'm glad I have. For the record, I wore jeans, jumper and winter coat :)

Today's newt was a positive meeting at QP's school where I didn't get upset. It's been a long time since I could say that.

New thread inspired by you as I said, WA.

I have now eaten duck. I liked it very much. Not quite as different from decent free range dark meat chicken as I'd hoped, perhaps it's a bit like something else I have had though I'm not sure what?

Anyway, another new recipe.

Strange double post. How did that happen?

ANYWAY

Something else I remembered from last year is that New Things might be continuous, ongoing. Finding something new every day can be too contrived. If you started (for instance) a new book on Monday it's still a new book 'til you finish it.

And sometimes Newts need time to establish their jingleyness.

Good newt hp and I love Sharkie's newt and jingly thread too.

Farmed duck is very different, I think, to wild duck which I have eaten once at a pub that was trying to be a gastro pub and served all kinds of weirdness including purple potatoes. They served wild mallard but it was much more gamey than normal duck, more like I'd imagine pigeon would be.....

My newt is a wander around Leeds, I was tempted by new running kit in the Adidas shop but resisted as the stuff I liked really was too expensive. Vocariously another newt is K ordering a new microwave, the turntable no longer turns in ours.

I'm envious, BBL. One of the things I enjoyed about working in Handsworth was the sporadic deliveries of home cooked South Asian and West Indian food from our patients.

I'm ratching around good and proper for a newt today, unless it's agreeing with a patient's relative that the social worker responsible for organising a residential care assessment for her mother was an old-fashioned male chauvinist pig. Usually I stick to my colleagues' backs like shit to a blanket, but he'd been less than polite when I'd spoken to him.

More newts: went to our local pub quiz (never been), ate dinner there (never eaten there in 20 years!), as had a new beer they had on. Might become a regular thing.

I like that newt Fleecy. The best newts are those that form good habits I think.
