Not just winter, but the easing of lockdown. I've returned to club which means one run a week is now off grid.

Cor, in the first 8 to be found this time! one of my poorest performances yet in hiding, I think, but also a chance to really get out there and *seek*.

Ready or not, here I come... after I've finished work for the day.

Ooh, a sneaky foray into the bottom left corner this early on. The corners lasted until right near the end last month.

Nice work from P.Dub there! Saves me going out in the rain.

I wonder if my mistake was starting in the middle of the grid? Do few people hide there as they expect the seeker to start there?

I love this game's randomness. Hid in same square as last time. Last game came out 2nd to last, just before Ronnie and yet this time I'm 6th to be found! So... on with the shoes - time to do some seeking!

On the one hand, I was found earliest ever (4th, P.DuB thanks for the drink; I was thirsty), but on the plus side, I've caught my first ever hider. Sorry R4R (not sorry).

Thats only 1 find from about 60 new squares (the average in this game will be above 5 hiders per 60 squares, so middling north seems sparsely hidden-in this time)

About This Thread

Maintained by fetcheveryone
Here's the barebones of the new game:

fetcheveryone.com/hideandseek.php

How it works
The game generates a big three mile square with you at the centre. The square is cut into a grid of 1600 smaller squares.

During any given, unlock as many squares from your grid as possible (C19 permitting) by visiting them during your training. These are the places where you can 'hide'. Before the month is up, you must choose one of these squares as your hiding place.

When the first game kicks off (1st of the month), a lone seeker must start finding people, by visiting the squares. When someone is found, they become a seeker too. The seekers can then collaborate to flush out the hiders, and a growing army of seekers hunt down the final hiders.

The last person to be found will become the seeker for the following month.

IMPORTANT
I am still building the game. Keep following this thread for updates as I make them.
