Yes it's free and if they've fixed the crashing then I'd be happy to start using it again

That was with an IPad btw and a Neo Smartbike (broadcasting Bluetooth).

Well, apparently my iPad is too old and though it downloaded on my laptop it won't cooperate - keeps saying it hasn't fully installed

Can you use "dumb" trainers with this? Zwift allows some trainers (e.g the Elite one that I have) to be used (with some caveats) and I'm not sure I'd be interested in buying a proper smart trainer for the limited amount I would use this. But to dip in and out every now and again a free service like this would be right up my street. And for my exercise enthusiast kids who don't have £19 a month to subscribe!

Have a look on the website to see what it supports, as most need something to link up to, whether it's a speed sensor and HR monitor, rather than a power meter.

Right, after a lot of trials and tribulations and downloads, I got this working on my laptop and used it with my C2 BikeErg this lunchtime. I've got quite a lot to learn but in short, I loved it. @larkim my BikeErg wasn't on MyWhoosh's officially supported trainers list. However it worked. It's worth just sticking MyWhoosh on a laptop or iPad and seeing if the app will recognise your machine. |

I think having done some looking that it currently *doesn't* support anything other than a smart trainer at the moment. They are supposed to be developing support for dumb trainer + speed / cadence sensor, but it's not there yet, and I doubt it is a priority.

I guess the BikeErg is sufficiently smart for MyWhoosh then - it doesn't feel massively smart though in comparison to Wattbike etc

I just remembered something, and it’s that MyWhoosh doesn’t have proper display of virtual gears for Wattbike (or it didn’t when I tried it last a few weeks ago). May not be a big issue/difference, but Zwift displays the gear you’re in, and shows the shifts on Wattbike. When I googled it and had a look on MyWhoosh forums, it mentioned virtual gearing support wasn’t a priority at the time. As I say, not necessarily a big issue.
