Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Jaks
We’re having a roast beef dinner again with all the leftovers from yesterday. Mr jaks doesn’t normally have the same tea twice in a row but as he’s not eating much that’s what he fancies. I’d eat a roast whatever every day, love them.

I bet Mr Jaks is really hungry after all he's been through.

Chicken stir fry for me using a spoonful of red pesto as the sauce. 😋

18 year old car passed it's MOT without any work, or even any warnings.
It get's to stay another year. (Each MOT submission may be it's last)

But maybe that should be in the exciting thread, or even the smile thread.

Ness - my dentist's plans offer various combinations of dental vs hygenist visits per year. All slightly cheaper than pay as you go, but they do offer free emergency checks and (about) 20% off treatments. It's also their own plan, not an insurance company or other group taking a percentage.
I switched last year when a tooth broke and a crown was needed.

That sounds like the sort of thing I need. I'll have to look around to see if any of the practices near me do something similar.

My dentist has a similar scheme to um's. I'm currently on 2 check ups, 4 hygienist appointments, plus the 20% off treatment, emergency appointments if required. Pay monthly by DD.

Pix he’s loving it and I think regretting saying he’ll do 2 days a week 🤣

He’s been running me around then managed to get the annual tree pruning done, something normally done at weekends and last weekend was a wash out so much less stressy.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
