Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ah. OK. Of course, she must be younger than my mum. After mum's 80th birthday, the insurance quotes got a lot more expensive, and that was before she has her stroke and other health problems.

My dad says his bank has confirmed that he's covered by the travel insurance that's included as part of his fee-paying current account. It's quite possible that he is, because he hasn't developed any new medical conditions since he and Mum last went abroad.

I got my parents on the paid for bank account with travel insurance this year dad 82 mam 79 and it did cover them with medical disclosure and they asked what they needed to know so where my dad tells any insurance company he has paracetamol on prescription (even though he won’t have them as it’s cheaper to NHS if he just buys them with his shopping) the chap we spoke too was brilliant. Dad had an extra payment to cover them but still cheaper and they now get car breakdown and phone insurance included.

Paralympics. Feel like there’s a lot going on this weekend but I don’t think there actually is. (For me. I’m sure there’s loads going on at the Paralympics.)

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
