Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have textural issues, or possibly in-my-head issues, with the semi-solid substance inside custard creams and bourbons. And the biscuit parts are a bit blah.

Shopped. Bought bourbons, and probably an excess of other stuff. And some fruit.

I usually bite off the top biscuit then scrape the ‘substance’ with my teeth before eating the bottom biscuit

Most requested UK biscuit from my US colleagues? Once they knew they weren't 'cookies' ?
Garibaldi. But they knew them as 'squashed fly' biscuits.

Apparently from grandparents or older generation in UK in the 1940's and almost universally known as one of the mad, possibly mythical things British ate. They were amazed I knew what they were and could actually buy & take some over.

Garibaldi was always known as a squashed fly biscuit just as a fruit slice is known as a flea's graveyard .

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
