Thanks Um, we are between 2 at the moment so will get it confirmed later.

Home from work for a quick cup of tea before collecting Alfie. It's lovely and bright here but really windy.

Renewed house insurance. Definitely not exciting and very mundane.
Insurers (Nationwide) would not reduce renewal fee. But if I got a new quote, I got 25% off as a member. Spent about 20 mins on the phone to get the same package, but 'new' and cheaper, rather than renewed.
Why?
[or is there a specialist 'insurance renewal' thread somewhere I should have used?]

Bought myself a new ostrich-feather duster this morning. I am very pleased with it, though my old one was better as it had an extending handle. This one hasn't.

Home and on a sofa. The drive home was....interesting. Driving rain, sleet, hail. Eating too many chocolate fingers.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
