Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I would enjoy it better if I was just planning for me I suspect. Whilst QP has made huge progress from the ‘pizza and bread’ days he still has many things on the ‘I hate’ list.

I agree HP. I would enjoy it much more if I didn't have to take another person's preferences into account. OH eats pretty much anything, but it's the questioning, often over breakfast, of 'Whats for supper?' that I find very irritating (I've told him not to ask, but he forgets every so often. ;-) )

Any thoughts on dinner?

Drives me mad.

I have spent most of the day doing parkrun admin. That is also making me a little cross.

I’ve completely messed up the weekend dinners. Defrosted 8 chicken thighs to cook for this evening with chorizo and cauliflower, thinking both Sons1 and 2 would be here along with Eli. Then OH called to say he’d prefer bolognese today so I put the chicken in the fridge for tomorrow and defrosted some mince. Made enough bolognese for everyone, then Son2 announced he was going back with Son1 and would eat with him later. Only Eli has eaten so far, OH is still at work. And I’m not feeling particularly hungry.

Have now remembered that Son2 will be at his grandparents’ for dinner tomorrow and Son1 said he’ll be picking Eli up early afternoon, so only me and OH will be eating the chicken.

Guess I’ll be eating leftovers a lot this week!

The most infuriating is:
Me (on a Sunday): I’m doing a menu plan do you have any particular preferences?
QP: No.

QP (on any given week day): What’s for dinner?
Me: (whatever I have put on the menu plan)
QP: Aaawwww I don’t want/like that?

I have murdered all the husbands I've had who were pernickety about food, permitting only a dislike of olives because it means all the more olives for me.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
