Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I think I've become accustomed to having wet feet this weekend.

Gone upstairs to find we went out for a break half way through tidying up, and the bed is covered in bags and boxes of stuff which will all have to go underneath. It was part of holiday prep...

:-( LG - I've just stirred up a problem re our Airbnb for next week - my SiL booked it for us, and although it sleeps the right number of people (8) it does so in weird room configurations which she hadn't realised. I'm sure it can be resolved with the judicious use of sofas for the youngsters ;-)

I swam in the local outdoor pool. It claimed to be 22 degrees. It was... refreshing.

Hmmm steam, possibly a new ironing experience. I will have to read the iron's instruction manual. It has a flappy plastic cover at the front who's purpose I have never investigated.

I have replaced the batteries in the TV remote.

The old ones were flat, so it wasn't working.
