Mine and one of my client's are looking a bit minimal this year... They haven't liked the cold nights and hot dry days followed by a hammering of rain, the draught. Some of the buds have actually not opened and just dropped off from the rain. Peonies are sensitive souls! I love them so bought 3 more to take my holdings to 9. Three groupings of 3. The new ones have done virtually nothing! Thought I had planted them too deep but doesn't look like it. They just don't like the strange weather of extremes I reckon.
