Great weeding weather at the moment, still don't have enough time to get on top of them though.

I have a raised bed with next door's weeds coming through the fence. I just spray weedkiller down there.

I've been amazed while out and about at how big the blackberry flowers have been this year. Should be an even better crop than the last few years, nice grazing food while out walking and running. :)

I grew thornless blackberries once, but they weren't nearly as nice as the wild ones.

I just picked my third large punnet (750 grammes) or raspberries this week and my first kilo of strawberries! I now need to process them into something!

I've just started collecting about a handful per day of raspberries! The bush never got pruned last autumn so it's a bit of a wild thing. I'll take it in hand in the autumn. 🙂

My strawberries have been great this year. I’ve had 5 small punnets from them, I usually get only one if I’m lucky.
Maybe proves that mulching with garden compost works as it’s the first year I’ve got round to going that!

Also had loads of strawberries, although a couple of the plants haven't produced flowers or fruit and are just sending runners everywhere.

In other news, I spent a happy 20 minutes cutting back a thuggish rhodedendron to it's bare branches last night. It's coming right out when I have a couple of hours to dig.... It just keeps spreading, no matter how hard I cut it back.

I've never been that fond of it as a garden plant. (Not ever so) Pretty for about a fortnight in late Spring, sits there as a dark green bush glowering at me the rest of the year!

I only had a few strawberries as they are new in this year but I've hooked some runners into compost to multiply my crop for next year. The few we had were so sweet and juicy.

I have had so many strawberries, and they are still coming along nicely. Had some Raspberries today too. 3rd lot of rhubarb pulled, and gooseberries need picking.

Most of my sprouts have disappeared while we were on holiday, but cabbages, onions, Beetroot are coming along nicely
