On Thu, Oct 10 the direct ferries cover the 24 km distance in an average of 50 m but if you time it right, some ferries will get you there in just 50 m . The slowest ferries will take 50 m and usually involve a change or two along the way, but you might be able to save a few pennies if you’re on a budget.

um Oct 2024 5:02pm, 10 Oct 2024 8,935 posts	0 um A quick google and voilá Blind baking is the process of cooking a pie crust or pastry case on its own before you add the filling to ensure there's a crispy, crusty bake. When you make a pie with a filling that has a high liquid content, this step is usually required so that the crust can maintain its crumbly texture throughout the bake. Although isn't it common, or so I was taught, to add dried beans of some sort? (to be re-used over and over, not left in the pie)

Cover the pie base with baking parchment and a layer of baking beans, to stop the pastry rising. Bake for a bit, remove parchment and beans, bake for a little longer to dry out. Add filling, bake some more. No more soggy bottoms. You're welcome.
