Me: "Ok" HMRC: "do you want cookies?" Me: "Ok" HMRC: "you've just said you're ok with cookies. Ok?" Me: "Ok FFS" Also HMRC: "you have an updated self assessment statement" Me: "great, show me" [insert bit about cookies here. Again. What galls me at this point is that cookies are designed to STORE YOUR BLOODY PREFERENCES!] HMRC: "check whether the statement is ready to view" Me: "Ok" HMRC: "no, it's not. Try in four working days" Me: "Gaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!"

jacdaw 11 Jun 8:28pm, 11 Jun 2024 4,477 posts	0 jacdaw On a similar vein, why have people started to call non e-bikes (ie "bikes") "analog(ue)"? In what way is an e-bike not analogue, so presumably digital? Allegedly the bike industry wants to go with "acoustic", as in not electric, as in guitars!
