I sent this one to McGoohan, but thought you might like it too, just for the pomposity of the aspirational marketing b******. (I wanted to know three things; the weight, the packed size, and an approximate temperature range) "Created for people who do not compromise; who climb mountains just because they can; who want to be ready to move to the next destination without spending time packing; who are curios about K2 as well as a colourful beetle in the forest floor; who do not want to check in too much luggage at the airport; who think that life is one big dish ready to be consumed; who are curious of what lies waiting round the corner; and the next." ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk |

I do love that these people are 'curios' Actually, reading it again, they seem more like they're on the run from the law. |

Thread misuse warning... By train and bus from Redhill to Ashford International on Thursday: £15 Ditto, but via London: £36 Ditto, but avoiding the bus by starting at Horley, only about five miles away: £65 Ditto, but from Gatwick, about an extra half-mile away: £41 And the fastest journey is the longest, i.e. from Gatwick. Something tells me I won't bother. |

[The train from Gatwick is either via Victoria or via Brighton. Quite a lot of journey for your money].

It won't be Brighton as there's a line from Haywards heath to Hastings whence there is a train to Ashford. However the journey planner doesn't offer that.

And when all's said and done it's roughly crossing East Sussex.

I can't work out the logic of train fares. But that simply tells me my brain is correctly wired.

Whittard's Regal Blend loose leaf tea. A sweet black tea with creamy vanilla and a royal floral flourish of red, white and blue. The tea is black. It looks like ordinary tea. How the hell am I supposed to taste 'red, white and blue'? (Actually I wouldn't, as sweet tea isn't my thing). |
