Just updated the sheet and spotted that I missed 3 x 13...I went from 12 to 14. At least I have something to do tomorrow...3 x 13 :-).

I agree JS...my form was all to pot on the last set today.

Agree with LB DT, maybe a few easy days before hitting the 15, 16s.

For me form is important, I will do them much slower If I need to ensure form is good. I also find keeping the glutes relaxed helps as If I find Im tense then I suffer.

Away the weekend for a wedding so hoping to keep this up during time away.

Keep it up guys

3 X 16 done this evening before my run. Took 4 m 26 sec in total from start to finish. Can imagine doing these in less than 3 mins though. Getting a bit harder, but it felt a bit like that for the last few nights. Dont think I have ever done 48 press ups before. So the three sets must be good for you :-)

Excellent stuff. Well done all. I'm going to do something later on...I'll either go back and do the 3 x 13 session that I missed or might ease back further and have a 3 x 8 recovery day. I'll see what the day brings.

Just done 3 x 17 without any form of warm up. Seemed a lot harder and only just managed the 17th rep of the third set. Finished in 4 min 32sec. I think tomorrow I will give myself 2 mins between sets rather than start the next one at 2 mins. Anway I'm still managing to keep doing more...just :-)

Shingle Nells
Hello you happy bunch. I said the other day that I thought I'd pulled something so I was giving it a few days off. turns out I was wrong. I've got Shingles which is a bit painful but not particularly problematic otherwise. I'm going to come back to the challenge when I'm a bit less uncomfortable, though. Keep my seat warm, eh?

About This Thread

Maintained by Dogtanian
Start on day 1 with 3 x 1 press up. On day 2 move to 3 x 2 and keep increasing by one every day. If you fail to do the target for the day then you try the same number the next day, only increasing when you have done the session properly. The Marathon talk challenge is to get to 3 x 100 push ups.

There are no real rules except all three sets must be done in the same session though. No going to wash your hair/walk the dog in-between sets:-).
