its highly thought of in American circles, frequently reffered to as a good BQ course.

I spent 12 minutes in Sacramento on 15th September 2001 - nice state building I briefly glimpsed.

Foxy, yeah, I know lots of Olympic hopefuls use it to qualify for the US Olympic trials. I’d love to get a BQ again, and it’s around the time of a big birthday, so I’m considering it. We’ll see.

If anyone here plays Trader then grab me at 9 while you can and hold on as I'll only be going up from now on. I'm also after the 50 investors badge so I won't upload my 2 miles just run/walked until this evening.

ptr, I secured a place a month or so ago. I got in via the virtual marathon entry method, which got me an entry.

I'm going next year - as it's the 20th anniversary of my first marathon in the same place - I might then retire ?

I did Riga marathon, Latvia, on Sunday. I hadn’t been before, but it’s a great city - river cruises, viewing points, lovely parks, a huge market, decent food, squares, easily walkable, day trips from the city if wanted (we went to a 20 mile long, white sandy beach on the Monday). Marathon itself is a two lapper, with a half starting at the same time, a 5K and 10k later in the day, and shorter races on the Saturday. I enjoyed the race a lot, although it was hot on the weekend (by all accounts last year it was cold), and amongst the best post-race food I’ve seen. Not loads of support out on the course, but I’m fine with that personally. I’d recommend it and I’m considering Vilnius which I believe is the same main sponsor (Rimi, which is a supermarket chain in the Baltics).
