I use the family multi-trip policy that comes with my Current Account, at £168 a year it's not terribly cheap, but in my case it covers the wife and the son's pre-existing conditions. It explicitly covers marathon running (non-competitive), I reckon it's reasonable value, especially as I get fee-free foreign transactions, breakdown cover and mobile phone insurance with the account as well.

And after having claimed on the policy several times during COVID year, I'm happy to keep using it.

Nationwide Flex Plus. Actually, it's £13 a month, so £157 a year.

I also just use the one that is included in my premium bank account.

Hmmm, that makes my account sound fancier that I mean :-) It’s a co-op one anyway.

I’ve no idea what inclusions or exclusions it has though 😮

Like the look of that downhill marathon although they can be brutal on the legs - I did Big Cottonwood - from 9800ft to 4800ft in Park City Utah - 1.25 half but my legs fell apart for a 3.50 !!

Not done Egmond, but have a few friends that have, supposed to be one of the toughest "road" races in the Netherlands, but that might be the first 3 or 4 miles along the beach, and then some some sand dunes. Not very road like!

Pretty sure it’s the sand that’s the hard part too Sam Jelfs

Canny be worse than Woolacombe Dunes I’m hoping 😀

Rotterdam is a great event - fastest flat course there is. i've done it a couple of times. there's not a great deal to do in Rotterdam, so last time I did 2 days in Amsterdam & a day & a half in Rotterdam - only 45 mins between the 2 on the train.
