Another airfield? How many will that make? At least two in Scotland use former airfields (Alness and Montrose). Lanark is in the vicinity of a former airfield (site of Scotland's first ever aviation meeting in 1910, attracting over 200 000 spectators, (including those arriving in 1300 cars which in itself would be quite remarkable in those days) but could not be said to use it.

Hey up DT!

Doubly-good Kevchenko! ;)

Selby is another old airfield - although only 20-25 miles from me it looks much too flat for my liking!

Lullingstone would have been one of London's major airports had it not been for WW2. The railway station platform and approach roads can still be seen. Thankfully we were left with a great country park and a lot of hills.

Interesting. I thought all the planning at Teignmouth for their parkrun was around Mules Park. However, it is good news.

It's hardly been a secret but Cliffe Castle (Keighley) now officially confirmed starting 15 September: parkrun.org.uk

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
