453 for the Cliffe Castle inaugural at Keighley today! Given that there were articles about it in the Keighley News last week and a month ago, it does not seem to be one of the quiet launch ones.

Interestingly, it attracted I think a higher than usual amount of brand-new parkrunners at the slower end (and possible the middle): 20 sub 30, 58 30-39, 27 40-49, 13 50+.

Median time was 32:13. With times ranging from 17:26 to 1:03:34 (9 participants over the hour), I imagine that the average time (not up yet) will be considerably slower (36-37?). I don't know the course apart from the description, but unless there are unusually wide paths, that must have been a bit awkward on a 3+ lapper.

I wasn’t there but the inaugural at Walmer and Deal Seafront attracted 248 attendees.

Dvorak - re Cliffe Castle, I wasn't there, but knowing people that were, there are some narrow sections and a very steep path up through woods x3 as well as some wider paths at start/finish area. With it being my NENYD I was interested to look at the numbers attending those parkruns nearest to Keighley and it looks as though numbers were only slightly down on last week for the likes of Bradford, Skipton and Halifax.

There is limited parking at Marlborough Common so I will probably delay my visit for a week or so. (It being my NENDY).

12bar if you're a local, which I think you are, drop me an fmail. Everyone else please please give us a few weeks before you come to visit. Will explain the reasons more later, currently being driven across Cornwall and struggling to type

HellsBells, I have twice tried to send you an fmail, but both times I have got a message saying that the recipients name isn't recognized.

Very strange, because I checked that I had got the spelling correct.

Can you send me an fmail & then I can reply?

There may be an inaugural parkrun happening near you. Best to check with the local parkrun volunteers to see if they want you to know about it or not.

Otherwise there are plenty of already established parkruns to go to in the UK and abroad, see: parkrun.org.uk
