I know it's early but i think Porte can be ruled out of contention for the Tour win now.
I had him down for a top 10 finish but there is too much quality ahead of him to be a serious GC contender.

Contador down again.
Can't see him finishing the tour this year.

Arjin - my TV box asks whether you want to add extra recording time if you record a live event. The one I had before didn't do that but you could go into the recording options and do it manually. Failing that, record the programme that comes afterwards. I learned that lesson a while ago from recording football matches that went into extra time...

Fair point SPR but the way that riders have been racing recently suggests that few are prepared to attack from more than a few k from the finish at mountain finishes in stage races. Particularly with GC contenders, breaks have been allowed to go and contest stage wins more and more. Contador has gone from far out in years past but few others have chanced their luck. Contador will be gone by the weekend sadly.

Reading live I'm not seeing a crash for Contador today, do you mean yesterday WR?
DB - I can see Contador, Nibali, and Are chancing their arm if close, but most of the others will protect their position as you imply.

Contador getting a rest day so he might get a chance to survive longer.
I reckon I could ride on the front of the peloton at the pace they are currently riding. I would struggle on some of the rollers up but could hopefully just slip to the back and sneak back on the flat and downs. Fat chance of that happening.
I sneaked on the back of a JLT training ride a few years ago when I was out on my CX bike and they rolled past. I sprinted to get on the back but after about 3 miles I was blowing out of my backside at 23 mph in 48 x15 while they were still gossiping about various people in cycling. I blame my 32mm Schwalbe Marathons for not being able to keep up and my feeble heart and lungs lol

Spleen - I added an hour on to my recording time before. The Virgin box seems to have decided it knows best and changed it back... :-/
