Rhyniefossil, I've had a variety of non-Goretex Inov-8s (wouldn't touch the Goretex ones) and have never had any problems with the shoes trying to mould my feet into shape.

Change of footwear plan here - having found the Terrocs too hard underfoot for comfort during the Malvern Marathon, I'm planning to wear my Mudroc 280s :)

Looking forward to this :)

Think I might go trail shoe shopping this weekend. It has just been payday after all. Anyone know where to go in London? Will normal running shops stock a good selection? Should I look at the Inov-8s first?

My roclites have ripped where your toes strat for the want of a better description. Only had them a month so there going back. Be interesting to see if they change them. On the subject of trail shoes i may by another pair of sportiva's. Although they didn't last long, they fitted like a glove, were light and had excellent grip on rocks and fells. I think i said to v-rap or ell bee some time ago how much i l liked them and how 'right' the felt. It was only the falling apart problem that pissed me of about them. Hmmm.

So, I'm assuming it's not just eL Bee!.com? I guess I need to go into an actual shop to try shoes on though. I wore some old trail shoes recently for South Downs/Chesil Coastal and they weren't kind to my feet, so I want to make sure I get ones that fit properly.

Would shoes suitable for this be right for the Ridgeway too?

I'll be wearing the same for both Anna (although I may need a new pair by Ridgeway!)
